I didn’t get as long in Melbourne as I’d have liked. I landed and went to the hostel. It may seem a bit strange but one of the first things I like to do when I get to a new place is to figure out how I’m leaving. I knew my next stop was Adelaide but the mode of transport unknown. I was keen to drive the great ocean road so I thought I’d check out the one-way camper rental returns and much to my surprise there was a van waiting to go from Melbourne to Adelaide, the only downside was that I had to leave the next day. Needless to say, I did it as they even paid for petrol and $50 travel expenses.
I guess that is the long way of saying I didn’t stay long in Melbourne. Luckily, I have discovered people like Andy Higgs from the blog Grown Up Travel Guide who have and have written about it. So if you want to know 5 things that you should really see (unlike me) when in Melbourne, check it out here: 5 things you must not miss in Melbourne
What do you think? Is anything missing? Do you have a recommendation for Melbourne? Let me know and I’d be happy to add it.
