Just 21 miles up the road from its more famous neighbour, Leeds, York’s historical significance of this town should not be overlooked. The city was founded by the Romans waaay back in 71 AD, has been at the centre of revolts, industrial revolutions, beer and sweet manufacturing. As well as all that they have a stunning cathedral and a train museum (that last one is more for my Dad if he’s reading than anyone else, unless you like trains, then it’s for you too!).
Anyway . . . now that has whetted your appetite, what should you do when you’re there?
