 Overview:

Situated just a few hours from Bogota is the colonial city of Villa de Leyva. Known for having the largest square in Colombia, this gem of a town feels as though it’s been captured in time. Villa de Leyva is known for a variety of things including a large number of marine fossils, a Muisca archeological site, astronomy, the largest piece of pottery in the world, and beautiful vineyards. This is a must see in your travels of Colombia!
