You may know Dharamshala as the home of the Dali Lama or, as like me, you may know nothing about the place at all, find out that little fact and then question why you didn’t know more about the place. Luckily, I have discovered this fantastic blog with lots of information about the Northern Indian city and what to when visiting Dharamshala.
Located in the Indian province of Himachal Pradesh, the city is steeped in history that ranges from the ancient to the British occupation during the Empire days and, more recently, the centre of the Tibetan exile world in India.
Visit the home of the Dali Lama
I found it on travel site The Wanderers Hub a travel blog by Indian travel blogging duo Prerna & Harsh. Their site has a lot of great articles from India and other places they have visited on their travels along with some fantastic photography. This particular blog focuses on what to do in Dharamshala including the locally iconic Anglican Church St John’s (It looks so British), paragliding in the mountains, visiting the Lama Temple and where you can catch an amazing sunset . . . who doesn’t love a sunset . . . and much more.
It’s an enjoyable blog with some great pictures, enjoy it here: Quirky ways to discover Dharamshala from Wanderers Hub
